99 Problems

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

99 Problems lets people anonymously share a problem, view other submitted problems, vote on whether they would swap situations, and post supportive comments. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information We Handle

How Information Is Used

What We Do Not Collect

Local Device Storage

Your generated username, age range, and state are stored locally on your device so the app can remember you between sessions. This information is not tied to an account.

Server Processing

Submitted problems, comments, votes, and moderation reports are processed and stored through our backend infrastructure so the app can function. Age range and state may also be processed so the app can apply age-gating and produce aggregate demographic insights. Do not include sensitive personal information that you do not want shared or reviewed for moderation.

Public Content

Problems, comments, and related vote metrics may be visible to other users. Because this is an anonymous community product, anything you submit should be treated as potentially viewable by others.

Children

The app is intended for adults age 18 and older. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

Data Retention

We retain submitted content and moderation records as needed to operate the service, review abuse reports, and maintain aggregated metrics.

Your Choices

Crisis Resources

99 Problems is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or may harm yourself, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. In the United States and Canada, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
